We use trusted third-party shipping companies to deliver our products to customers across India. Shipping charges are calculated during checkout based on the weight and volume of the products ordered, and the shipping destination. Shipping rates and delivery times vary depending on the shipping method selected such as standard delivery or express delivery, the delivery location, the shipping carrier’s policies, and the availability of the product.
We will provide you with an estimated delivery time at the time of purchase. We make every effort to ensure that our products are delivered to you within the estimated time frame in an efficient manner. However, we are not liable and held responsible for any delay in delivery caused by the shipping company or circumstances beyond our control, such as weather conditions or transportation issues. We are not responsible for any customs, duties, or taxes that may apply to your order. You are responsible for paying these fees. In the event that your product is damaged or lost during transit, please contact us immediately so that we can initiate a claim with the courier service.
Please allow us 1 to 3 business days for your order to be processed and shipped but rest assured, We aim to dispatch your order on the same day or at least the very next day, please provide us with a maximum buffer period of 2-3 business days to dispatch your order when there is huge number of orders, and during weekends or festive sales, or when an item in the order or the product needs to be back-ordered. We will provide a tracking number once your order has been shipped.
For orders within Tamil Nadu, you will receive them within 1-2 business days from the day of dispatch, and for orders in south India you will receive them within 3-4 business days from the day of dispatch, and for orders in north India, you will receive within 5-7 business days. All the days mentioned here are based on approximation, actual delivery date might be quicker than the mentioned timeframe. For some products, that need expedited delivery, we will make sure that the order reaches you by 1 or 2-day delivery.
We offer Free Shipping* on all orders above INR 700 within India. Orders below INR 700 and less than or equal to 1 kg in both Volumetric weight and Physical weight will incur a flat shipping charge of INR 99. We try to automate the shipping option where you can choose the shipping partner and shipping mode at your discretion. But in any case, if the customer wants to upgrade the shipping to expedited shipping they should call us before we dispatch the product and pay us the additional shipping fee that incurs over the standard shipping rate for their order.
*While opting for free shipping for orders over INR 700, if the product is overweight and the shipping cost is over INR 150 then we might ask you to pay for the additional shipping cost. But we will provide complete free shipping for every single order that values over INR 5000 even though the weight or size of the package can be anything whatsoever. We strive to deliver your products as soon as possible.
If you receive a damaged or defective product, please contact us within 24 hours of receiving your order. We will verify the authenticity of the claim and initiate the claim of insurance from the shipping company but if they decline it in any case, we either replace the product or issue a refund from the company side to maintain the trust kept in our website by our customers but it doesn’t apply to all orders and the sole decision is taken from our side as appropriate. Refunds will be issued to the original payment method used to place the order. So, we offer a hassle-free returns and refunds policy. We take utmost care in ensuring that all our products are of the highest quality. However, in the unlikely event that you receive a damaged or defective product, please contact our customer service team at support@ethicalaquarium.com within 24 hours of receiving the product, and will arrange for a replacement or a refund for the product, subject to our discretion and situation.
Our return and refund policy is designed to make it easy for you to return any products that you're not completely satisfied with.
Returns: We want you to be completely satisfied with your purchase from Ethical Aquarium. We offer a 7-day return policy for most of our products (and if any product has a special return policy then it will be specified in the product description) and if you are not satisfied with your purchase for any reason, you may return your item(s) within 7 days of receiving your order, subject to the condition of the product and our approval for an exchange or full refund at our sole discretion, excluding shipping costs and transaction charges.
Please do note that products sold on clearance sale or at very special discounts for promotion and deal of the day, and products that are bundled as free gifts cannot be returned. But do contact us to learn more about the product before buying and we try our best to include non-returnable tags in the product description to help you identify the deals that are non-returnable.
Please note that items should be unused and should have the original condition and packing; In case of any defects or damages, please contact our customer support team immediately. If there is a dent in the shipping package, please take photos from different angles before unboxing so that it is easy for us to claim insurance from the shipping company, also make sure to take an unboxing video for a seamless refund process. To initiate a return, please contact our customer support team with your order details and reason for return. We will provide you with a return shipping label, which you should print and paste on the package. The packing should be proper and safe as we sent it to you, and you are solely responsible for the damage in the return shipment if the item is broken on arrival and you will be responsible for the cost of return shipping.
Refunds: We will provide you with a coupon code of the same value as the returned product which you can use for any product on our website for a seamless refund process or at our sole discretion, we will refund back using the same payment method used for the original purchase. All Refunds will be processed within 3 business days from the date of receiving the returned product on our end. The payment will reach out to your bank account within 7 business days from the date of releasing the refund.
